Joali — Art in the Maldives

This documentary follows the development of the art installations created for Joali during the construction of the luxury island resort in the Maldives. It traces the journey from artistic idea to finished work, placing the artists’ processes in dialogue with the architecture and natural environment of the island.

The film observes making at different scales, from close physical detail to the transformation of the wider site. Its approach reflects the care, collaboration and craft involved in integrating contemporary art into a new hospitality destination.
